Day 1: Arrival in Bagdogra and Journey to Gangtok (Approx. 5 hours)

As you arrive at Bagdogra Airport, we'll begin our scenic drive to Gangtok. This beautiful capital city of Sikkim is a peaceful haven with a strong Buddhist influence. Known for its cleanliness and stunning views of the snow-capped Mount Kanchenjunga, Gangtok offers a unique charm. You'll have the rest of the day to relax and explore this lovely town at your own pace. Perhaps take a gentle stroll and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 2: Exploring the Beauty Around Gangtok

After a delicious breakfast, we'll take a day trip to the serene Tsomgo Lake (also known as Changu Lake), a popular glacial lake on the way to the Nathu La pass. Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings here. Our next stop is the Baba Mandir, a shrine built in memory of a brave Indian soldier. We'll then return to Gangtok. The evening is yours to enjoy some shopping at the vibrant M G Marg and Lal Bazar, where you can find unique local items like wall hangings, carpets, traditional clothing, tea, and more.

(Optional: If you'd like, we can arrange a trip to Nathula Pass (at a high altitude on the China Border) for Indian Nationals at an extra cost, except on Mondays and Tuesdays.)

Day 3: From Gangtok to Darjeeling (Approx. 4 hours)

After breakfast, we'll enjoy a short sightseeing tour of Gangtok, visiting the refreshing Banjhakri Falls, the Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre showcasing local arts, a colorful Flower Show, the peaceful Dro-dul Chorten, and the Institute of Tibetology. In the afternoon, we'll drive to Darjeeling, a charming hill station known for its tea gardens and mountain views. Upon arrival, we'll check into your hotel.

Day 4: Sunrise Views and Darjeeling's Delights

Early this morning, we'll drive to Tiger Hill to witness a spectacular sunrise over the majestic Himalayas – a truly unforgettable sight! After breakfast, we'll visit the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays) to see rare Himalayan animals like the snow leopard and red panda in their natural habitats.

Next, we'll visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (also closed on Thursdays) to see fascinating exhibits from famous Himalayan climbs. After that, we'll take you to a picturesque tea garden nestled in the rolling hills, where you can admire the scenic landscape and learn about tea plucking and processing.

We'll also visit the peaceful Ghoom Monastery and the unique Batasia Loop. You'll also see the Japanese Temple, a serene place dedicated to Lord Buddha, and the nearby Peace Pagoda with its beautiful Buddha statues. Lastly, we'll visit the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, where you can see the creation of traditional Tibetan handicrafts.

In the afternoon, you'll have free time to shop at the local markets like Ghoom Monastery Market, Batasia Loop Market, and Chowk Bazaar, where you can find hand-knitted items, souvenirs, and woolen clothes. Enjoy your evening at the Mall.

Day 5: Farewell Darjeeling!

After breakfast, we'll check out from your hotel. We'll then transfer you to Bagdogra Airport for your journey onwards, hoping you leave with wonderful memories of the Himalayas.
